About Blood Blockade Battlefront

Kekkai Sensen (血界戦線), also known in english as Blood Blockade Battlefront, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow. It was originally released as a oneshot in 2008, and became a serialized manga in 2010. It has received two sequels, Back 2 Back, and Beat 3 Peat.

In 2015, B3 received the first season of its anime adaptation, which ran for 12 episodes. It received a second season in 2017, also running for 12 episodes. The first season's ending animation and song, Sugar Song to Bitter Step (Unison Square Garden) has gained extensive popularity outside of B3. Many different fandoms have animated their favourite characters over the outro, and you could even say its more well known than the series is. It's probably what the series is most well known for.
